Stevens Water Launches RSS Feed

The internet continues to offer ever more innovative ways of staying connected to news and information from around the world, all while putting more control of content in the hands of the consumer. In order to help our customers stay up-to-date with Stevens, we have launched a new news feed service using RSS technology.

What is RSS?

RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” and it allows you to sign up to have a web site’s news content delivered to you automatically. Major sites such as MSNBC, Reuters and C|NET offers their news via RSS feed. You can tell if a site offers RSS feeds by looking for the orange RSS icon on the page.

How do I get RSS feeds?

Using the a program called a “reader” to receive these RSS feeds, it becomes very simple to stay current with news from many sources. My Yahoo! offers a great free RSS reader, as does Google, in the form of Google Reader.

Once you sign up for a feed, you are automatically sent updates from the websites you choose. Another great feature of RSS is that you are in total control of your subscriptions and can subscribe or unsubscribe at any time.
