The Stevens Type F Chart Recorder is a portable recorder that provides a continuous water or tank level record in graphical format. The Type F is used either as a primary device or as a very reliable backup instrument to record water or tank level. A single chart can provide up to 32 days of continuous level recording.

The Type F chart recorder's real-time graph shows the water level against a record of time. The range of chartable water level is limited only by the length of the float line and float size. The Type F is often used simultaneously with electronic data loggers. The Stevens A/F Encoder or SDI-12 Encoder can easily by attached directly to the Type F to transmit water level measurement to a data logger or used for transmission of water level or flow information.
