Stevens Water Monitoring Systems Introduces New DTS-12 Turbidity Sensor for Water Quality Monitoring

DTS-12 Digital Turbidity Sensor Features High Accuracy, Low-Drift Option for Turbidity-Only Monitoring Applications

PORTLAND, Ore., October 28, 2011 – Stevens Water Monitoring Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the introduction of the FTS DTS-12 Digital Turbidity Sensor into Stevens’ existing family of water quality sensors, adding a new option for turbidity-only measurement.

Designed exclusively for turbidity and temperature monitoring, the DTS-12 features high-quality optical turbidity monitoring combined with a built-in microprocessor that takes hundreds of measurements each reading cycle and applies statistic processing to the data, providing clean, highly accurate bulk turbidity data that is repeatable between sensors. The DTS-12 offers ±2% accuracy for readings between 0 - 499 NTU, and ±4% for readings of 500 - 1,600 NTU. No special logger programming is necessary, as the DTS-12 does all calculations in-sensor before providing the final data.

Ideal for long-term deployment applications, the DTS-12 has been designed with a unique silicon wiper blade and cleaning channels that help keep the sensor face clean and measuring accurate data for up to 12 months between cleaning and calibrations.

“Introducing the DTS-12 Turbidity Sensor to our customers provides even greater options and flexibility with water quality monitoring applications” said Mr. Ben Culver, VP of Business Development at Stevens Water. “The ability to accurately measure specific parameters helps us design systems that meet our customer’s exact needs without adding additional complexity to their project.”
