Our contact meter is an ideal device for quick, portable measurement of bore holes, wells, reservoirs, and other applications where liquid level depth is needed. The probe is simply fed down and when it reaches liquid the light on the front of the unit illuminates. Depth can then be read from the easy-to-read white tape.
The unit comes in several measurement tape/cable lengths, including 15, 30, 50, 100, 200, 300 and 500 meters, with the tape being marked in Metric units. The hand drum is attached to a sturdy coated aluminum frame with built-in carry handle. The probe and light are powered by 4 user-replaceable C-cell batteries.
Stevens also carries two optional accessories for the contact meter. One is an acoustic buzzer that emits an audible sound when liquid contact is made. Also available is a ground sensor, which will turn off the light or buzzer once the bottom of the well is reached.
Stevens contact meters are available with polyethylene-covered steel cable, which can be laser-etched with imperial and metric measurement units (centimeter, inch, and foot). The cable is constructed from two steel cores and coated with polyethylene, ensuring durability and long-life.
